Real Joy Spiritual Program has been organized through interdenominational cooperation. Churches represented are Agricola Finnish Lutheran Church, Saalem Finnish Pentecostal Church, and media7 Bible School, Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Funds collected will be used to defray the costs of this program. Cheques should be made out to The Finnish Canadian Grand Festival 2008.

Pastor Mikko Jokisaari will speak.  On Saturday, the Agape Youth Choir will be joined by Pastor Mikko Jokisaari, and Pekka and Arja Simojoki. Sari Puiras will sing.

We are pleased to announce that the visitors to Finnjoy 2008 will be able to visit an art show, showcasing the touching work of Aila Teräväinen, a portrait photographer from Finland, as well as many Finnish Canadian and Estonian Canadian artists. You will be able to enjoy the beauty of landscapes and flowers, and view photographs and cartoon drawings. Many of the artists have held exhibitions of their own and have long involvement with their media. At Finnjoy 2008 you will be have the unique opportunity to see their work in one location and to purchase some of the works.

Chess Tournament

Time: 9:00 am - 1:00pm (onsite registration beginning at 8:30am)
Venue: North York Civic Centre
Cost: Free in advance with festival registration of $25.00.
Registration by June 15, 2008 preferred. Onsite registration available on day of tournament for addtional $5.00

The tournament will be a 5 round event based on the Swiss pairing system. Games will be 20 minutes per player, maximum game time 40 minutes. Players are asked to bring their own clocks and chess sets. Trophies for top finishers.

Target Shooting Tournament - CANCELLED

Venue: Estonian House Shooting Range
Cost: Free with festival registration of $25.00

There will be two events: 20 shots Prone and 3 x 10 shots – 10 Prone, 10 Standing, 10 Kneeling. Sport rifle with max. cal. .22 (trigger pull min. 1.0 kg., rifle weight max. 4.0 kg.) will be provided at the shooting range. Prizes will be given for top finishers.
